|
The
Hill Country Youth Orchestras are an outreach of the Music Ministry
that involves over a hundred and twenty five children and youth from the
church, Kerrville, Ingram, Hunt, Junction, Fredericksburg, Mason, Boerne
and San Antonio. Players are grouped into ensembles by playing experience.
Lessons are taught at the church and in homes. The Hill Country Youth Orchestra
meets each Monday, September through May in the Rehearsal Hall. Four teachers
work with the string students in group settings each Monday night. Brass,
woodwind and percussion players audition for spot in the orchestra.
