WELCOME! The lyric line you see above is the first line of the song Keepers of the Faith written for the First United Methodist
church of Kerrville by Joseph Martin. The butterfly repersents transforma- tion and in particular the resurrection-- the caterpillar as Christ's life on earth, the chrysallis represents the three days of death, then the resurrection as the butterfly. By extension it means the transformation that accepting Christ can have for one's own life and the promise of life after death

EVENTS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS
February, 2009
We are planning a choir tour to Germany/Austria in late June of 2010! This time we will be led by Joseph Martin and will have singers from other churches singing with us. We will begin in Oberammergau to see the famous Passion Play that is presented only every ten years. Then we will travel to Berlin where we will sing a program and get to visit the historic Berlin Wall and the Brandenburg Gate. The tour finishes in Salzburg, Austria after many wonderful stops along the way.. I think this is a fantastic opportunity for us to be the core choir for Joseph Martin. Joe is coming to our rehearsal on Wed., Feb. 18th, to make a formal presentation about the tour. He will also play some of his wonderful piano music. This time we will have a year and a half to make payments on the trip like we are used to doing. This trip is going to fill up quickly and there is more info including the price and payment schedule in the Rehearsal Hall.
Wednesday: February 25th: 7:00 P. M. Ash Wednesday Service. The choir will sing “Come to the Cross”. All singers are welcome. Meet at 6:30 P. M.

In Memory of Marilyn Monts
This July is our first update of our website since the sudden death of our faithful webmaster, Marilyn Monts. Marilyn developed this website specific to our Music Ministry to be used for newsletters, messages and general information. She kept it updated daily for over five years.
Marilyn had been bed ridden for many, many years. She lived in Washington State and although we never met in person, her spirit, committment and love for our Music Ministry meant so much to all of us......and to her.
Please pray for her family, including her sister Cathy Learoyd. And please continue to use the website and think of Marilyn each time as you view her pretty butterflies and are grateful for the generous sharing of her considerable talent.
Lynda
